Kindred Spirits Quilt Co. September, 2012 newsletter is now complete. There is a host of interesting classes being offered by a great crew of instructors. The newsletter can be viewed at their website
I will be teaching a couple of new classes in the next few months, in addition to some of the regular classes. One is from the book Strip-Smart Quilts by Kathy Brown. You sew strips together and sub-cut them with the “Double-strip” ruler and you can create intricate looking quilts
I came across some wonderful patterns by a Canadian designer whose company is called “Designs to Share with You”. The pattern I choose to teach is titled “Easy Elegance” which can be made into a table runner, in 2 lengths, or placemats. It’s a quitck project and is quilted as you stitch the bias that you make. The pattern is aptly titled, as the results are elegant.
To prepre for Christmas, I will be doing a series of classes to create a “Stained Glass Manger Scene”. This is also quilted when you stitch down the 1/4″ bias tape to create the stained glass.
Until next time, Happy Quilting! Gloria
